Mercato West

At last we have enjoyed the new Mercato West. I missed the small and loud ambience offered from the Mercato Mission, however it certainly is refreshing to dine in the wide-open, warehouse-inspired Mercato West. We started off with their mussels and clams prepared in a savory broth, and their famous octopus which is blended with gelatin, to allow for thin-cut slices and a very tendered texture. Rounding off the lovely dinner with their scrumptious pasta dishes including their evening special which was linguini prepared with liver and bocconcini slices. Lastly, their classic pasta dish, the Tagliatelle that is filled with delicious basil. Can’t wait to return!
