Thank you to our friends at buybuy BABY for partnering with us for this post!
You guys, can you believe that baby Kung’s ETA is in approximately four weeks?! I remember looking at one of my favorite pregnancy apps late last year, it counts down the weeks remaining until our due date. When I read 28 weeks left to go, it was daunting at the time and felt like this pregnancy would go on forever. Sure enough, now I look at my pregnancy app and feel a rush of urgency and excitement seeing the countdown is on with four weeks to go!
Leading up to this point, my hubs and I have been busy planning and preparing for our boy to arrive. You can check out my previous post here featuring my top five must-have items in prep for baby’s arrival. We’re almost passed this point now of getting our home ready for baby Kung. Now our priority this week is to pack our hospital bag. A very special thanks goes to our friends at buybuy BABY for partnering with us as we get ready for the hospital stay for birth. We definitely want to have the hospital bag all set to go for when baby Kung decides to arrive.
Sharing my top favorite items from buybuy BABY that I am packing in my hospital bag, starting with this fabulously stylish diaper bag. Given this bag’s perfect size, I plan to fill it full of baby’s stuff that we will need during our stay in the hospital and for bringing him home. We will also pack along a small luggage that will hold the items that my hubby and I need.
As for these high-quality muslin swaddle blankets, I can see what all the fuss is about. I can’t wait to swaddle baby Kung in these when he’s born. These are also so great for covering him in the car seat as a protector from harsh sun or wind on our way home from the hospital.
The darling monkey one-piece is a comfortable outfit that we can put him in at the hospital and also is great for bringing him home. We’re all about these onsies because they’re simple and efficient, and yet oh so cute!
I’m also packing the NailFrida Nail Care Set in our hospital bag. I’ve actually had a few of my Mom friends recommend bringing a nail clipper set to the hospital because their babies were born with long nails that already start to scratch. These clippers actually have a spyhole for you to see exactly where you’re cutting, making it so much easier to trim little baby’s nails right off the hop. Gone are the days of the terrifying experience of accidentally cutting the baby’s skin while clipping their nails!
Last but not least, so many of my friends have also suggested Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes. These wipes will be amazing to have on hand during labor, given all the sweat and effort that goes into birth. These are also really nice to have for a quick go-to after birth to freshen up before I begin to nurse baby Kung. Anything to help me feel alive again.
There’s so many other must-haves for the hospital bag, and so I thought I’d share a few of these here:
Cell phone and chargers
Nursing bras, love this one here
Toiletries and of course Lip balm, head balm and hair elastics
My essential oils
Slippers and robe
And the list goes on…..
For all my Mama readers out there, I’d love to hear your suggestions or favorite items that you packed for your hospital stay! Thank you so much for reading, friends.
