Sharing my look of the day, a grey coat with denim skirt and let’s not forget the turtleneck! My turtleneck fetish is still going strong! I’ve been so confused with the weather lately in Calgary. Last weekend it was high temps allowing for bare legs with my denim skirt and now this week we’ve had a big snowfall with super chilly weather. I wouldn’t be caught dead outside in bare legs with this cold weather. No complaints here though because I truly love bundling up in layers of knit sweaters and thick wool overcoats as Christmas is approaching.
With Christmas around the corner, all I can think of is being home for the holidays. I love that the concept of being home for the holidays can look like a variety of different things for everyone for Christmas. I realize for some of you it may mean being at home with your spouse and kids, creating new Christmas traditions together. For others it may mean spending Christmas with your friends, a community that is accepting and loving with common interests. Home for holidays can also mean not being home quite literally at all, a getaway to the favorite destination for some time away from the hustle.
For me, home for the holidays means going home to my parents and spending over three or four nights. Even though they live only an hour drive away, spending time as a family together has become something that I live for. For those of you who may not have happy things to look forward to this Christmas, you are in my thoughts. Please feel free to share you story, if you’re comfortable. Many hugs and happy Friday, friends!
