Today it’s all about the Lace-Up and sharing my top tips for how to wear the bodysuit trend.
Hello friends or in other words, hola from Dominican Republic! Our trip with Air Transat has been amazing so far, and if you don’t want to skip a beat in following my travels you can check out my Instagram here. We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute that my hubs and I’ve had together here. Life back home has been so busy with all the things we’re working on, so without a doubt, an all-inclusive getaway is the best way to wind down. It’s been a few years since we’ve gone on an all-inclusive vacation. Both my hubs and I agree that there’s something so special about going down South for a week and just relaxing. I love having the guess-work removed from all the typical travel planning and just settling in for a week of bliss. I can’t wait to share more in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I’d love to share a recent look I wore for a casual weekend. It’s all about that bodysuit that so many gals are nervous to try out! In all fairness, I don’t blame any of those concerns. Bodysuits are not the easiest piece to style, and they can be tricky when it comes to washroom planning. Guys, you may not understand fully until you see how these one-pieces are designed! Given this predicament, the first recommendation I have on how to wear a bodysuit is look for bodysuits that have buttons on the bottom end. It’s way more practical when you need a washroom break, if you know what I mean!
My second tip on how to wear the bodysuit is to pair them together with high waist jeans. Lately I’ve been loving what’s called the “Mom” jean. It’s a high waist jean that has a bit more of a chunkier fit rather than the typical high waist skinny jean. Just a bit of a different twist, and I love the contrast of the fitted bodysuit with a looser bottom. Bodysuits naturally tend to hug the body, which offers a slimming look. Opt for a looser pant to balance the look.
Lastly, embrace the bodysuit with all sorts of different combos! I love the idea of the bodysuit with boyfriend jeans, layered under a blazer jacket, paired with a cute A-line skirt, a pencil skirt or trousers. The pairings are endless, which is one of the reasons why I love this trend.
Thanks for reading friends, hope I’ve inspired you with some bodysuit ideas!
