Hi friends, hope you had a wonderful weekend! In case you may have not noticed on my Instagram, my hubby and I, along with our dog Maggie traveled back to Canada for a friend’s wedding over the past five days. It was so nice to have the chance to spend a day with my family and then we drove to the mountains for a few nights where my dear girlfriend’s wedding took place. It was so much fun and made for a wonderful getaway!
Having been in Seattle now for over three weeks since our move, I’ve found myself starting to miss the beautiful snow globe in the mountains. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love living in a city where there’s almost never any snow. That’s my kind of living! Yet there’s something so special about being in the tranquil mountains in the winter for a visit. I absolutely love the mountain tops and the trees when these are covered in snow. Pictures just don’t do justice of the beauty that surrounds. I always take the time to look around and take in my surrounding, it’s so still and quiet and I find so much peace in that. Most of you know how much I love the mountains, it’s where I’ve grown up and they will always be home for me. Yet one thing is for sure, the temperatures are frigid in the mountains especially during the month of January.
One thing I was so excited for this trip is my recent discovery of the luxury Italian outerwear brand called PARAJUMPERS. Having warm outerwear is so important for me when I visit the mountains. I honestly have a huge dislike of being cold, and so I have so much appreciation for a high tech parka that can take me outside for hours.
My hubs and I decided to go for a walk around the resort the morning of the wedding. I slipped on my comfy leggings, booties and my new favorite parka from PARAJUMPERS. I love their designs! PARAJUMPERS has a fascinating story behind their brand. The designer Massimo Rossetti designs each piece in the collection with an inspiration from the original military designs. You will notice that my jacket has neat details such as parachute clips around the collar. Massimo was inspired through meeting a serving member of the 210th Rescue Squadron in person, an elite U.S. military corps trained for extreme rescues known by the nickname of PARAJUMPERS. Also, for those of you that wish to learn more about their fur social responsibility, I encourage you to check out their fur policy here.
Thanks for reading friends. Stay warm and have a fabulous Tuesday!
I’m wearing the PARAJUMPERS Long Bear Jacket in Black, available at various retailers across Canada including Nordstrom, Sporting Life and Harry Rosen.
