Lace It Up for Spring!
Do you remember that time as a young child when you learned to lace up and tie your own shoes? I know this is a random question and takes us way back, yet funny enough today’s outfit made me think of this. Now it seems like such a trivial task, something that most of us can probably do in our sleep at this stage. The interesting thing is, I can literally remember that day I learned to tie my shoe lace. I practiced a few times and at first it felt awkward, it was slow and tricky, and took so much concentration, then one day it was like it clicked and I was tying my shoes like a grown up!
Reflecting on this is such a reminder to me of how life in general can be like that sometimes. Not everything comes easily and most often we don’t see the rewards of our hard work after we put much time into it. Then one day it’s like it clicks and life has a way of working itself out and we’re able to achieve that thing we’ve been working so hard for. Each of us are all at so many different stages in our lives. I know some of you are still in University or having just started your career. I also have readers who are Mommy’s and this is your full time job. I have lots of you gals out there who are working in your passion and a job that you love, whatever that may look like. Lots of you are working in the 9 to 5 office job and a few of you are close to retirement or there already. Given the different stages we are all currently in, what would you say is something in your life that may have taken some time to get there, yet it’s clicked and you feel like you’ve accomplished what you set out to do?
Now on to this lace up dress. Lace up tops, bodysuits, dresses and pants are having a major moment in my closet lately! I’ve shared a similar dress in denim here. Pieces embellished with laces really have become the coolest neckline.
Thanks so much for reading friends, have a wonderful Tuesday! Hugs, V&V.
