Hi friends! Thank you so much for all your insightful and thoughtful comments you left on my previous post. I loved your insights and have so much appreciation for your openness and willingness to share your perspective with me.
I recently had a fun conversation with a friend about what we like to do during the summer months. My friend grew up in Eastern Canada and I grew up in the West. Her memories of summer are filled with spending weekends at her family’s cottage, while relaxing and swimming at the lake. My summer memories are filled with showing my horse in the competitive show circuit, bonfires on a hot night, and going for long walks with my Mom and childhood dog. When I think about what I enjoy doing now in my adult years during the summer, it’s much the same, yet perhaps more an urban version. It involves going for long walks or hikes with Maggie, sipping cocktails on happening patios around the city, or camping in the mountains.
What are your plans for summer?
Now on to this outfit! Calgary weather has been incredibly unique this spring season. In fact, we’ve basically skipped spring and headed straight on into summer lately. This warm weather has me thinking of sunny blue skies and lots of weekend fun. As I’m building up my spring/summer wardrobe, I’m interested in those pieces that can effortlessly be worn across the coming months.
With that said, I love the idea of a cute bell sleeved top. Even though this top is long sleeve, the flowy volume is the perfect way to stay cool on the hotter days. I do have to admit, this top can be tougher to keep wrinkle free, yet I think it’s also meant to have a bit of wrinkles to add character to the design.
