Vancouver Weekend Getaway with Westin Bayshore

One of my favorite aspects about living in Seattle is having Vancouver just a short driving distance away. Vancouver, BC is by far one of my favorite Canadian cities! With its beautiful mountain water views combined with one of the most unique city cultures in the country (I mean, who wouldn’t love a foodie city like Vancouver?!), I absolutely cherish the fact that I can now visit this city as often as possible. My hubs and I have many fond memories of spending time in Vancouver for weekend trips over the years and so it made for the perfect destination to spend his birthday there two weeks ago.

Our celebration weekend the best trip we’ve enjoyed recently, topped with our luxurious stay at The Westin Bayshore. My love for the Westin Bayshore began a few years ago when we first stayed at the resort during a winter trip. The incredible marina views will stick with me forever! The moment I look outside my window from my hotel room, I never ever want to leave. Do you ever get that feeling at a beautiful hotel?

We arrived on Friday afternoon, checked into our room and we were greeted with the sweetest birthday surprise of dessert and rosé. And of course, Westin Bayshore always remembers the details with their sweet gesture in treating Maggie too! I always tease my hubs and tell him it’s my birthday too on his special day. Why not because we’re celebrating together, right?! Anything to find that excuse to have all the chocolate-covered strawberries to myself. Oops.

My hubs and I settled in, indulged in the sweets and then off we went riding on bikes around the harbor, provided by the hotel. The following morning, we slept in and ordered the most freshest breakfast in bed. Say hello to avo toast, bowls of fresh fruit, and amazing brewed coffee!

After a day of strolling the streets, we stopped by at Vida Spa at The Westin Bayshore for relaxing couple’s massages. This made for the perfect start to the evening! The icing on the cake was our dining experience at the hotel’s restaurant H2 Rotisserie & Bar. We had the most delicious dinner filled with laughter, cocktails and a beautiful view overlooking the water. Scroll down to read more details!

Friends, thank you so much for reading and joining in our travel journey.

The million dollar hotel room with a view! This is what gets me every time.

Maggie was spoiled by Westin Bayshore too! I love how dog-friendly the hotel truly is. Her Heavenly dog bed along with the water and food dishes were so nice to arrive to. And how cute is this “Canadian” dog biscuit?! The neat thing is The Westin Bayshore offers stays free of charge for your pet. So nice not to have those pesky pet fees.

It was so romantic to arrive to these delightful treats provided by Westin Bayshore. What a thoughtful gesture for my hubs’ birthday!

Waking up to this breakfast in bed though!

Fun Fact: the hotel offers Liquid Yoga during the summer months, a 60-minute yoga session on aqua mats on the outdoor pool every Sunday morning for hotel guests. So amaze!

Dinner at H2 Rotisserie & Bar was so memorable. For starters, this cocktail was a true drink of art. The mixologist was an artist himself and even took the time to stop by our table to share every detail of his piece of work. Each and every detail including the bitters made in the drink were well thought-out and so incredibly delicious! I LOVED my drink.

Thank you so much to our friends at Westin Bayshore for hosting us! We can’t wait to come back soon. XO!

    Hi, Becky,
Lucky you! It looks a great place to be and if the food tastes even half as good as it appears in the photos it must be amazing. Not to mention the wine: I love the glasses of wine that appear in your photos! 😋
