Earlier this week I shared the first night of our weekend getaway in the Rocky Mountains here. I’m thrilled to reveal our second night apart of our weekend getaway, and I promise you it did not disappoint! My hubby and I stayed at the magical Emerald Lake Lodge with Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts. I’ve heard so much about Emerald Lake Lodge from friends who rave about their experience staying at Emerald Lake Lodge, and in fact many friends book this destination every single year and never miss it. Finally with the chance to experience it ourselves, Emerald Lake Lodge exceeded our expectations and I can’t wait to return!
In a remote setting, Emerald Lake Lodge is surrounded by the towering Rockies in the Yoho National Park, approximately a thirty minute drive from Lake Louise. In the summer months the lake is a pristine jade color. During our visit the lake was surrounded with beautiful trees covered with mounds of snow, creating the most magical winter wonderland I’ve ever seen. The Emerald Lake Lodge itself is such a cozy gem. The Lodge has a restaurant which overlooks the Mountain View, and the lounge on the other side is quaint and warm with a massive wood burning stone fireplace. The moment we walked into the lodge to check in, we were greeted with warm smiles and the incredible aroma of wood burning in the fireplace.
The hotel rooms are the most adorable cabins that surround the lodge and each cabin has its own wood burning fireplace inside. Emerald Lake Lodge spoiled us with a warm welcome of charcuterie and one of my favorite red wines in the Okanagan, the Upper Bench. Once we settled in, my hubs and I made our way down to the Emerald Sports Shop to begin our outdoor adventures of snowshoeing!
After an hour of snowshoeing Emerald Lade Lodge had prepared our very own private fire pit where we indulged in s’mores and sipped hot chocolate while watching the sunset. Our time at Emerald Lake Lodge was romantic and beautiful and we look forward to returning soon!
I’ve never seen such a dreamy winter wonderland as Emerald Lake Lodge! There were moments when I’d just stop what I was doing and take in the beautiful mountains and trees. Everything was so still and beautiful.
The sweetest cabins that are the hotel rooms.
My hubs and I spent so much time relaxing by the fireplace in our cabin. It made for good conversations after a busy week in the city. In the morning we woke up and spent some time relaxing and taking in the view from our balcony while sipping fresh coffee.
Renowned for its signature Rocky Mountain cuisine, Emerald Lake Lodge has a variety of options of elk, lamb, caribou and other unique game meat unique to Canada. Each of our meals at Emerald Lake Lodge was delightful, and the dinner in particular was so romantic. Also, their wine list is endless featuring a great variety of top Canadian wineries and others.
I’ve always loved cross-country skiing and particularly loved the view with beautiful mountains surrounding us.
I’m so excited to share a recap vid for you here:
Huge love and a special thanks to Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts for the wonderful stay and thanks for partnering with us on this post.
